Here is a list of peoples that I have found very inspiring for cultures and customs.

Aztecs - The people who established a great empire in Mexico during the 1400s and early 1500s. Their civilization was very advanced, and they built huge cities. The Aztec Empire was destroyed by Spanish invaders.

Incas - The people who lived in Peru in South America from about 1100 to the 1530s. They had a great empire, which was destroyed by the Spaniards.

Xiongnu - Nomadic people who lived to the north of China.
